Air Conditioner Maintenance

To guarantee your system's life span, you must provide it with regular maintenance. Schedule an appointment with Padgett's Air Conditioning and Heating Inc. twice a year for regular check-ups on its efficiency level and the condition of parts.

Padgett's Air Conditioning and Heating offers several options for regular maintenance. The most efficient and cost effective program is the ESA (Energy Savings Agreement). This is a comprehensive 16-point inspection that includes checking all the electrical components, starting capabilities, cleaning drain lines and pans, calibration thermostats, cleaning filters and many other important checks that are necessary to keep your system running at peak performance and efficiency.

Also included in the ESA is

  • 2 inspections/cleanings per year scheduled at your convenience
  • Discounts on parts, labor & diagnostic fees
  • No overtime charges - even on weekends & holidays!
  • Priority service
  • Maintenance reminders so you never miss an appointment - we call you to schedule!

Padgett's other maintenance options include dryer vent cleaning and Rotobrush™ Duct cleaning.

When servicing your dryer vent, our technicians remove and clean the filter. In some cases, it may need to be replaced depending on the condition of the flex. Our technician will also go up onto your roof to check the outside vent and remove the screen to clean it as well. Then a special brush is moved through the entire length of your vent to loosen the dirt, debris and sometimes even a nest. Once the cleaning is complete, the vent is reconnected to your dryer; the dryer is turned on to loosen the debris and it is blown out through the exterior vent (we clean up all debris afterwards). Our technician also takes the back pane off of the dryer and vacuum the inside of your dryer to remove lint that's collected. If your dryer vent is not maintained regularly, this can become a safety hazard.

Do you ever wonder what is lurking inside your air ducts? Let Padgett's Air Conditioning and Heating, Inc. show you!

With our advanced technology using Roto-Vision® Video Inspection System, we are able to check your ducts for any problems before using our Rotobrush aiR+ ® system.

Some indicators that you may need to clean your ducts are:

  • Do you own a pet(s)? Do you notice pet hair on surfaces in your home?
  • After cleaning your home, does the furniture seem dusty only hours or a day later?
  • Do you suffer from "allergy-like" symptoms while at home?
  • Have you noticed an increase in your energy bills?
  • Have you changed your filters monthly or on a regular basis?

There are many benefits to cleaning your air ducts. Duct cleaning removes dust, dirt, mold spores and other particles that inhibit proper air quality. Duct cleaning will help give you cleaner, fresher air inside your home. There will be less dust and pet hair around your home and on your furniture. An additional plus is that your A/C will run more efficiently, reducing the cost of your operating system.

After we inspect your air ducts with our Roto Vision®, we will answer any questions you may have and give you a free quote for our duct cleaning services. Rotobrush aiR+® system easily cleans all types of air duct construction (e.g., flex duct, round metal ducts, square metal ducts, and fiberboard), including right angle turns, reducers and multiple bends found in most types of duct systems.

Padgett's Air Conditioning and Heating Inc., also offers theft protection. With increasing thefts of copper, aluminum, and air conditioning units in Northeast Florida, Padgett's offers several solutions for the growing theft problem. First, we use the Condensing Unit Security Cage. This cage is custom built to your particular condensing unit. We also install alarms that are directly connected to your condensing unit that go off if the wires are cut or the pressure starts to leak from the Freon lines. At Padgett's, saving you energy and money is what we do best.
